DC's fastest man alive is coming to the big screen in late 2012 or 2013 and is rumored to be a 3D production.
There are no solid leads on actors at this point, but Greg Berlanti has been tapped to direct the movie as well as being part of the writing team.
What we have heard is that the plot for the movie will show us late for everything forensic scientist Barry Allen transformed into The Flash by a lightning strike which spills a large vat of chemicals all over him.
Again, there's a lot of time for things to change on this project so I'm going to have my ear to the ground.
